Life is as certain as it is uncertain, and the only thing we know for sure is that we exist, that we are alive. However, as scientist Nick Bostrom says, it is impossible to rule out with certainty the possibility that we are living in a simulation created by someone else. With this in mind, how can we guarantee—or not—that our existence is free? Or rather, what does this concept of freedom really imply?
